When engines lose power and transmissions lose drive, it’s usually time for a rebuild. With new piston rings and seals, or freshly machined rotor pumps, performance and efficiency are restored for years to come. Even if there is damage or catastrophic failure, many units are still repairable and can be put back into service.

This is a sight nobody wants to see. A common failure caused by low oil, especially when driving on sloping ground, the conrod literally welds to the crankshaft after overheating from lack of oil. The rest of the story writes itself. As bad as it looks, such engines can often be rebuilt with replacement parts, even if the crankcase itself needs to be replaced.

Transaxles tend to lose drive over time due to worn pumps.

The pumps can, in most cases be machined and reinstalled. Along with a full flush and clean, the transaxle typically returns to full speed and enjoys a second life with years of good service.
